A man has died after he was found unresponsive at a popular Birmingham park.

Police were called to Sutton Park just before 6am today, Sunday, November 23.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, officers confirmed.

A blue tent was erected near the Jamboree Stone, close to the park's Streetly Gate entrance, following the discovery.

It was later removed and a spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious.

They added: "We were called to Sutton Park at around 5.55am this morning after a man was found unresponsive. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
