RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. —

A man is facing charges after authorities say he went into a South Carolina mosque with an AR-15 and showed it to children.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said on Nov. 9 a mosque in the area reported a man coming in during the time of prayer, carrying an AR–15 rifle and disturbing worship.

Authorties said surveillance video showed that when the man went into the mosque he showed the gun to some children.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, authorities released a picture of the man in hopes of identifying him.

The following morning, Adam White, came to the sheriff’s separtment and said that he was the person in the picture and subsequently confessed to the incident.
