A Harrisburg man charged with arson inside two city homes was seen climbing out of a window Friday right after one of the fires began, police said in court documents.
Harrisburg police said city resident Yahmir Thompson, 25, was responsible for fires reported around 12:30 p.m. Friday on opposite sides of the 500 block of Woodbine Street.
One blaze was small while the other was growing quickly, but firefighters were able to extinguish both before they caused further damage, according to Fire Chief Brian Enterline. No injuries were reported, but the fires caused structural damage , he said.
During an interview with a Harrisburg detective, Thompson said he was walking through the neighborhood when he saw fire coming from 549 Woodbine St., according to an affidavit of probable cause fil
