A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:28 a.m. valid for Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
"Total snow and sleet accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, greatest at higher elevations," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour are possible. The snow may mix with sleet before changing to all rain by Tuesday afternoon."
