WILLIAMSBURG — If William & Mary continues its string of consecutive winning seasons, up to five after this year’s 7-5 mark, the Commonwealth of Virginia will be greatly responsible.

The Tribe netted 10 signatures on national signing day, Wednesday, and eight of them play high school football in the state. The other two are Pennsylvanians, including Khylil Johnson, a combo running back/receiver who set the all-purpose yardage school record at Cornell in Pittsburgh.

“Khylil is an explosive prospect with home run-hitting capabilities,” said Tribe coach Mike London, who will have to replace a rare home run hitter of late in honorable mention all-conference wide receiver Deven Thompson.
