Four men have been charged in connection with firearms and dirty cash offences after an incident near the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.

The incident unfolded at around 8.50pm on Tuesday, December 2, when officers intercepted a car on Newton Street near its junction with William Street - just yards from the hotel and close to Anderston Station.

Police Scotland has now confirmed that four men aged 34, 27, 27 and 22, who were previously arrested, have been charged and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, December 4.

A significant police response followed the arrests, with officers sealing off the area outside the hotel. The cordon stretched across a section of grass within the Hilton grounds and remained in place into Wednesday morning as enquiries c
