MILFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews responded to a fire in Milford on Saturday morning.
At around 9:13 a.m. firefighters were called to the area of Harrison Avenue after a report of a porch fire, according to the fire department.
When crews arrived, they found a heavy fire coming from the front porch of a two-story residential apartment building with two of the apartments involved.
Officials said everyone made it out of the residence safely.
Initially, three cats were unaccounted for but were then safely found by first responders.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
No further details were released.
