At least two people were seriously injured in suspected drunken-driving crashes on Sunday morning The Portland Police Bureau said in a news release.
Just after midnight, officers responded to a three-car collision near Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Prescott Street, the bureau said. First responders took at least one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
The teenage driver of a 2019 Mercedes-Benz left the scene without talking to other drivers or helping injured victims, before being escorted back to the scene by his father, police say. The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.
Hours later, emergency responders took another man to the hospital after he hit a tree near Northeast Airport
