The body of an 18-year-old was recovered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers Tuesday after a report of a possible drowning at Lake Pueblo State Park.
According to a news release from Parks and Wildlife, witnesses saw a man without a life jacket go under the water before noon about 65 yards from the shore in the east end of the lake near the dam. Park staff were on the shore within 2 minutes of being notified and two Parks and Wildlife boat crews were searching within 15 minutes.
The victim was recovered within an hour of the 911 alert, the release stated. The Pueblo County Coroner's Office will make an identification and determine the cause of death.
