BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Your health insurance premiums are going up next year, but not as much as Blue Cross Blue Shield or MVP Health Care proposed.
Vermont’s health care regulators, the Green Mountain Care Board, issued their decision Friday night.
It comes against a dire backdrop for Blue Cross Blue Shield, which has been saying its finances are at a crisis point.
They requested to increase their premiums by double-digit percentages, but the regulators only approved 9.6% for individual plans and 4.4% for group plans.
MVP plans will go up 1.3% for individuals and 2.5% for groups.
