Shoppers may want to take a closer look at their deli purchases before preparing their next meal.
Supreme Service Solutions, known as Supreme Deli, said on Monday, Nov. 24, that it is assisting in a recall for two Boar’s Head products made with pecorino romano cheese supplied by Ambriola Company.
The supplier learned that certain batches of cheese could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, prompting a Class I recall.
The recall applies to two grated cheese products. The first item is Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese in a 6 oz package with item code 858 and case UPC 042421-05858.
Sell-by dates range from Friday, Nov. 21, through Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2026. The second item is FS Grated Romano Cheese with item code 15119 and case UPC 042421-15119, with the same sell-by date range.

Supreme said Ambriola Company initiated the recall after the US Food and Drug Administration notified the supplier that the affected cheese appeared linked to a potential contamination issue. No illnesses or consumer complaints have been reported for items tied to Supreme.
The recalled products were distributed in Kroger stores in Kentucky and Indiana. Retail items were packaged in clear plastic grab-and-go containers that resemble typical deli salads and wraps. Boar’s Head said all additional products made for the brand by Ambriola Company have been withdrawn as a precaution, although those items are not included in the recall.
The company said any consumer who still possesses the recalled items should not eat them. The products are past their shelf life, and stores should no longer have them in stock. Anyone with concerns is urged to discard the product.
Consumers with health questions should contact their physician. Ambriola Company can be reached through its information mailbox at info@ambriola.com.
