MANCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) - A fire in Manchester has left dozens without a place to sleep tonight.

Crews were battling the fire at an apartment complex on Foster Street just after 11 p.m. on Saturday night.

A few crews are still on scene investigating the fire here at the Manchester apartments.

Officials said they believe it was an arson.

17 people have been forced out of their homes and now left to pick up the pieces.

Officials said the fire started on the first floor.

Crews were battling the fire and rescued three people who were unable to escape the building.

But a total of 17 people have been displaced and a person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials said they found a dead body on the third floor of the building but they believe it is unrelated to the fire.
