HONOLULU (Island News) -- A shuttle boat ran aground outside Kewalo Basin Harbor on Saturday morning as a result of this weekend's high surf.

The Discovery, a 50-foot boat, got stuck in the shallow reef inside the surf spot known as Kewalos due to harsh ocean currents. The Honolulu Fire Department received initial reports of the aground boat at 8:11 a.m. on Aug. 9.

There two crewmembers were onboard and no injuries were reported from the boat.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the captain will get the Discovery back into the ocean at high tide. There has been no pollution reported from this incident.
