SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking public input on the Atlanta–Savannah Intercity Passenger Rail Project, an initiative exploring the feasibility of a new passenger rail connection between Atlanta and Savannah.
Residents are encouraged to take part via a survey posted on GDOT’s official project website.
The survey asks respondents to share their travel habits, including how often they’ve journeyed to Savannah or cities along the corridor like Athens, Macon, and Augusta, as well as the purpose of those trips.
This survey marks a continuation of GDOT’s public engagement efforts, with previous surveys earlier this year aimed at gathering Georgians’ perspectives on routes, potential stops, and travel demand across the state.
