In the 1960’s classic movie “Spartacus,” Kirk Douglas rose to tell Roman soldiers that he was Spartacus. Before he could speak, one by one, the other slaves around him stood up in an act of defiance proclaiming “I am Spartacus.”
It’s time for Democratic members of the United States House of Representatives and Senate, and willing Republicans, to stand before our Capitol and, one by one, state what is called for under the Uniform Code of Military Justice regarding an illegal order.
It is time for their Spartacus moment to stand with those who have already stood up. We should expect nothing less from those who proudly took an oath to the Constitution.
