Flint residents impacted by the city's historic 2014 water crisis inched closer to receiving money from a $626 million settlement between the state, other parties, and them.
Special Master Deborah Greenspan last month filed a report and request for authorization to finalize the terms of the settlement fund with a federal judge, according to court documents.
She also said she anticipates the highest possible award, which would be for children who were the youngest at the time of exposure to Flint water between April 25, 2014, and July 31, 2016, and had the highest lead levels based on testing, could be about $100,000.
