He’s running: Democrat Sherrod Brown has decided to seek a return to the U.S. Senate next year, ending months of speculation about his political plans. As Jeremy Pelzer reports , Brown is perhaps the best candidate Ohio Democrats could have put up against Republican U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, though political handicappers still give Husted the edge in increasingly red Ohio. Brown’s decision comes as a relief to many Democrats, though it’s irked some in his party who had hoped he would instead run for governor against GOP frontrunner Vivek Ramaswamy.
